These last few weekends before Hanukah and Christmas are made for last minute shopping. Have you noticed the last minute gifts are always the most challenging too? Many residents of our apartments in Roanoke, VA are looking for the more challenging gifts like those for teachers, babysitters, or bus drivers.
We all have those people in our lives that we would like to acknowledge during the holidays, but we don’t know them well enough to have an idea about what they would really enjoy. The holidays are a time to show them we appreciate them, but it is more difficult than it sounds.
Truly it is about the thought, not about what you spend. Here are some fun, creative and easy gifts:
- Day at the spa — wrap scented lotion, foot cream, candle and a rubber duck in a cute face cloth;
- Beach day — fill a beach bucket with bubbles, sun block, Frisbee, beach ball and gold fish snacks!
- Trip to the movies — in a popcorn bucket, place microwave popcorn, 2 boxes of movie candy, diet soda, and two passes to a movie theatre.
- Tea time — a tea pot or coffee mug, herbal teas, flavored coffees and some boxed biscotti’s.
