You and your family are invited to discover two hundred years of history in downtown Buchanan. On Saturday, October 5th from 10AM – 5PM, Buchanan celebrates its downtown revitalization activities.
Discover traditional and contemporary Bluegrass music while visiting Mountain Magic In Fall. Bring a lawn chair and sit a spell. Today’s musical performances help keep the musical heritage of Bluegrass alive by introducing a new generation of listeners to this uniquely American form of music. Join us as we kick off the day’s activities at 10 AM and continue playing throughout the day until 4:30 PM. This year’s musical and dance performances are sponsored by Bank of Botetourt, serving the community since 1899.
Lineup for this year’s show includes: Haymaker Town Express performing from 10 am through 11 am, New Corner Grocery Gang playing from 11 am through 12 noon, Jason Harris and Friends performing from noon through 1 pm, followed by Blue Connection playing from 1 pm through 2 pm, followed by the Back Porch Studio Cloggers dancing from 2 pm through 2:30 pm to be followed by Buchanan own Mike Lee and David Austin performing from 2:30 pm through 3 pm, followed by the Virginia Carolina Band who will play from 3 pm through 4:30 pm. The stage is being provided by Blue Ridge Farm Center while the sound system is provided by Randy Riddle and Carson Scaggs will emcee the afternoon’s entertainment.
