If you live in an apartment in Roanoke, VA you can now eat at some iconic Roanoke restaurants and learn a little history about the Star City. The 'Roanoke Food Tours' are in full swing. The Historic Downtown Food and Cultural Tour take place all this month.
The three hour walking tours will go through downtown and stop at places like Texas Tavern, The Hotel Roanoke and Billy's. Seven different restaurants in downtown Roanoke are a part of the 3-hour walking tour. Groups can get a taste of different foods, while also learning about Roanoke's history.
"We are literally the first touring company doing tours like this or of any kind in the downtown area," Roanoke Food Tours President Larry Landolt says.
