This year there will be more time and more space to celebrate St. Patrick's Day in downtown Roanoke this Saturday.
The hours of the 'McDonald's Saint Patrick's Day Parade and Shamrock Festival' have been expanded this year, from noon to 8 p.m.
For the first time, Salem and Campbell Avenue will be shut down at the same time to feature music from local and regional talent.
The Shamrock Hill 5K and 10K run starts at 8:30am this Saturday. The parade starts at 11am on Jefferson Avenue.
There will also be a McDonald's Children Area with face-painting, games, inflatables, and more at the Taubman Museum of Art. Plus, a Celtic music from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. in front of Corned Beef & Company.Saturday, March 15, 2014, 11am to 8pm in Downtown Roanoke.
